China Economic Review Breakfast Series
China: the Third Wave Breaks
Date: July 23, 2008
Venue: JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai at Tomorrow Square
Event Overview
The second in the China Economic Review Breakfast Series is coming up on July 23, this time featuring guest speaker Andy Rothman, China Macro Strategist for CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets.
This follows the first successful breakfast in the series last month at which best-selling author and China economist James Kynge spoke on his fears about inflation. This second breakfast once again offers you an opportunity to gain insights into China's fast-shifting economic scene, keep up to date and network with other key people in the China business community.
At the July 23 Breakfast session, China Economic Review has invited Andy Rothman to share his unique experiences and insights into economic trends in China. he will explain his view that China's Communist Party has just kicked off a third wave of economic reform in an effort to push the mainland's manufacturing platform up the value chain, to create higher-paying jobs, and to shut down many small export-processing manufacturers. He will also be discussing the short term and long term outlook on inflation in China. Graham Earnshaw, editor-in-chief of Xinhua Finance, will also join in the discussion to provide you with a broader view.
Each event of the series features a keynote speaker and a discussion with audience interaction, giving you a chance to ask questions of the experts and express your views on what's happening right now.
