Property, bank stocks lead A-share rise

The Shanghai Composite Index rose 2.55% Thursday, closing at 2,910.29, while the Shenzhen Component Index went up 2.43% to 866.64, AP reported. Big daily gains were recorded by real estate developers Poly Real Estate, which was up 9.95%, and China Vanke, whose share price increased 6.66%. Banks also did well, including Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (up 2.38%) and Pudong Development Bank (up 8.17%).
