Advanced Battery Technologies (ABAT) has won an order from Italy-based Menzaghi Motors for aluminum magnesium alloy electric scooters valued at US$350,000. These should be shipped before the end of the year.
"This initial order exemplifies management’s significant progress in developing new products and services to meet the needs of our customers. As the orders for our aluminum magnesium alloy electric scooter increase in the European market, we will expand our product and development and distribution efforts to meet a growing global demand," said Zhiguo Fu, CEO of ABAT.
Founded in September 2002, ABAT develops, manufactures and distributes rechargeable polymer lithium ion batteries and also manufactures electric vehicles.
Reve reports that early in 2009, the company acquired Wuxi Angell Autocycle, an electric vehicle business, and renamed it Wuxi Zhongqiang Autocycle.
