Air China focuses on IPO

Air China selected Merrill Lynch and China International Capital to coordinate its initial public share offering in Hong Kong. Air China, a unit of China National Aviation Holding, is the mainland's top international carrier. Its IPO is expected to be worth as much as US$500 million

Air China intends to sell a 25 percent stake in the first quarter of 2004, according to media reports citing company officials.
