The WP Carey School of Business at Arizona State University has launched its EMBA programme in China in co-operation with the Ministry of Finance, the Financial Times reported. The two-year part-time course will be delivered face-to-face in Mandarin, with interpreters for faculty who cannot speak the language. Two-thirds of the participants will be senior managers from large state-owned enterprises.
In a separate development the Interactive University, a Scotland-based provider of school and university courses over the internet, has signed agreements with colleges in five Chinese cities to jointly offer courses in business and management, information technology, life sciences and health sciences. It has forecast that China could provide the largest proportion of its future students.
