The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is on course to become China's fourth largest trade partner with volume between the two sides exceeding US$27.5bn in the first quarter of this year, up 25% from a year ago, state media reported. In 2004, trade volume between China and ASEAN reached a record high of US$105.9bn, up 35% over the previous year.
