An Australian search vessel has continued to receive pulse signals from underwater pings consistent with the black boxes on missing Malaysia Air Flight 370, The Wall Street Journal reported. The latest signals, picked up twice on Tuesday, were weaker than the initial pings detected over the weekend, suggesting the jet’s flight recorders were close to running out of batteries, said Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, who is leading the multinational search in the southern Indian Ocean. Houston added that search crews still needed hard evidence, such as a photograph of the wreckage.
