Bank of America (BOA) opened its first consumer and commercial banking branch in China. The branch is located in Shanghai. BOA, the third largest US bank, said it does not plan to enter into joint ventures with local banks and will not offer credit card services at the present. BOA officials said future plans include expansion of consumer services to Beijing and Guangzhou.
