Beijing to replace buses for 2008

Beijing will to replace 7,277 old buses with modern ones to meet environmental emission standards before 2008, state media reported. Yan Bingzhu, chairman of Bank of Beijing, said diesel-engine buses of Europe I or lower emission standards, worn-out buses and those that can use either gasoline or liquid petroleum gas will be replaced. There are 17,507 buses that serve in the capital.
