Henry Tsang, head of investment banking at Bank of China International in Hong Kong, has left the firm to set up a Hong Kong-based investment company, reported Bloomberg. Tsang, who qualified in the US and has worked for Merrill Lynch, was appointed in June last year by chief executive Li Shan as part of a policy to build up the bank's advisory business by recruiting people from global firms. During his time with the company, Tsang worked on a US$2.7bn offering by Bank of China's Hong Kong unit and the recent US$500m sale by Sinotrans.
