Carrefour plans Guangzhou base

Carrefour announced that it plans to establish a major China purchasing center in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Officials at the France-based hypermarket chain said the new center will handle 65.5% of China purchasing. No financial data was available. Carefour operates 44 locations on the mainland.
