China’s equity markets remain on hold (at time of going to press, anyway) as the regulator tries to find the next Baidu to be the first A-share new issue since IPOs were suspended a year ago. (Query: If regulators are so fussed about finding the next Baidu, why did the original Baidu list in New York instead of in Shanghai or Shenzhen? Hmm, more sake required to answer that one.)
