America's Best adds two hotels in China

America’s Best has opened two mid-scale hotel properties in China. Both hotels are located in Yiwu, a city of about two million people which is a major commodities center and regional tourist destination about 190 miles southwest of Shanghai.

Universal Travel takes over Zhengzhou Yulongkang

Universal Travel Group, a travel services provider in China offering package tours, air ticketing, and hotel reservation services via the internet and customer service representatives, announced today that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Zhengzhou Yulongkang Travel Service Company for $5.7 million, 90% of which to be paid in cash and 10% in stock.

Boost for Tibet’s air services should aid tourism

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) is to adopt a series of measures to enhance civil aviation infrastructure and services in the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), reported China’s official China Daily newspaper on Jan 26. It cited a spokeswoman for CAAC as saying domestic and foreign airlines are encouraged to open international flights to or via TAR, under bilateral civil aviation frameworks.

China Southern Air to expand globally

The new high speed rail links in China have their benefits in improved ease of travel.
