A new nuclear plant is under construction in Taizhou City, Zhejiang province. The plant will be larger than Zhejiang's existing Qinshan nuclear power plant, which is nearing completion of its second and third phases. The Qinshan plant will have a total installed capacity of three million kilowatts once the upgrade is completed.
