US equipment maker Lucent Technologies announced orders worth US$107 million from China Unicom operating companies in Zhejiang, Shaanxi and Liaoning provinces to supply CDMA technology to expand Unicom's cellular networks. Officials said the equipment would expand capacity and network coverage and enable provision of video-on-demand, live streaming audio and high-speed mobile Internet access.
