China on Tuesday challenged accusations made by the US that it has dumped cheap exports on the US market, Reuters reported, citing a statement made by the World Trade Organization. The dispute was filed on the first day of the trade body’s biennial ministerial conference, which is being held in Bali. It is the eighth trade compliant that China has filed over the US but the first one it has filed this year. The US has repeatedly lost WTO cases over its use of a particular calculation, known as “zeroing”, for assessing suspected dumping cases.
