China has evacuated more than 3,000 of its citizens from Vietnam since deadly mob violence erupted around the country last week in response to an oil rig that China moved into waters claimed by the two countries, Financial Times reported, citing a Sunday statement by China’s foreign affairs ministry. Foreign companies have pleaded with authorities to stop a repeat of the anti-China riots that hit industrial parks around Vietnam last week. Mobs attacked more than a quarter of foreign companies in one southern industrial heartland. China is wrapped up in territorial disputes with Vietnam and the Philippines in the South China Sea.
