China launched its first microsatellite from its space center in Xichang, Sichuan province. Nanosatellite I, which weighs only 25 kilograms, is the first of 10 such microsatellites that China intends to launch into orbit this year. Chinese media reported that this year will be �crucial� to China's space program.
