China Mobile (CHL.NYSE) chairman Xi Guohua said on Wednesday that the company is still in negotiations with Apple (AAPL.NASDAQ) on an iPhone deal, Reuters reported. A deal with China Mobile could potentially be worth billions of dollars in revenue from phone sales for Apple. Up to 759 million China Mobile customers could gain access to iPhones, generating up to US$3billion in extra 2014 revenue – nearly a quarter of Apple’s projected revenue growth in its current fiscal year. The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this month that an announcement would be made around December 18.
