China Mobile ends iPhone talks with Apple

China Mobile has ended negotiations with Apple over sales of the iPhone handset in China, the Wall Street Journal reported. A China Mobile official said the companies disagreed over revenue-sharing terms, with the mobile carrier refusing to accept Apple’s request of a 20-30% share of user fees for iPhone users. The breakdown in negotiations opens the door for competitor China Unicom, which has fewer users and may be more likely to agree to Apple’s user fee demands.
