China and New Zealand completed talks for a proposed free-trade agreement that could increase New Zealand’s exports to China by US$300 million annually, Bloomberg reported, citing Radio New Zealand. Fifteen rounds of negotiations between the two countries have resolved all outstanding issues, and negotiators will prepare a report and send to the New Zealand ministerial cabinet for approval. Plans to phase out Chinese tariffs on New Zealand-made agricultural products as well as tariffs in New Zealand on Chinese-made textiles and footwear are among the agreements.
