China remains Germany’s largest trade partner in 2017

Official German trade data released on Wednesday show that China was Germany’s largest trade partner for a second year running in 2017, report Reuters.

Total trade between Germany and China rose last year to 187 billion euros ($230 billion), from 170.2 billion in 2016. China is now Germany’s third largest export market, spending 86.2 billion euros on German goods and services.

The U.S. remained Germany’s largest customer, however, a position it has occupied since 2015.
