China Southern Airlines will receive $219 million from the state-owned capital operation budget run by the Ministry of Finance. The cash injection will be made by controlling shareholder China Southern Air Holding Co.
China Southern controlling shareholder is considering various arrangements to use the funds to reduce the airline’s debt ratio.
BusinessWeek reported the company said its shares will be suspended from tomorrow pending further announcements.
