China Southern makes Airbus purchase

China Southern Airlines Co. Ltd. bought 10 Airbus A330 airliners from Airbus SAS Tuesday in a deal worth $1.72 billion, the Wall Street journal reported. CSA ordered five such planes from Airbus in April and it is thought likely that, once again, Rolls Royce will receive the contract for building the engines, although no decision has yet been publicized.
