China Telecom Corp, one of China's leading fixed-line operators, is making plans for its future mobile network and is confident it will receive one of the 3G mobile licenses the government will hand out as part of an industry restructuring, the South China Morning Post reported. Most observers agree the company will get the license after buying one of the two networks owned by China Unicom, the No 2 mobile-phone operator expected to be broken up as part of the industry makeover.
