China dominated the final tally of medals from the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, taking home 141 medals including 63 golds. The United States, which topped the Olympic medal table a month earlier, came fourth in the Paralympics taking home 88 medals. Chinese athletes and coaches said they expected their medal haul to be bigger still in 2008 when Beijing hosts the event.
