China-US trade talks progress well

The United States has reported progress in talks with China on limiting Chinese clothing and textiles imports to the US, reported AP. The negotiations produced "substantial progress on a large number of issues," said David Spooner, the White House textile negotiator. With President George W Bush's visit to China later this month, both sides are eager to conclude negotiations so a deal can be signed in Beijing.
