China’s Country Style Cooking prices IPO above expected range

Country Style Cooking Restaurant Chain (CCSC.NYSE), a Chinese fast-food company, priced its initial public offering in the US at US$16.50 per share, above the expected range of US$14 to US$16, Dow Jones reported. The IPO of at least 5 million shares raised US$82.5 million, 18% more than the initial offer. The Chongqing-based company saw revenues of US$72.9 million last year, with profits up by more than half. The company has increased the number of its restaurants from nine to 101 from the start of 2008 until June of this year. It hopes to add another 29 outlets before the year ends while also increasing its geographic footprint within the mainland. Proceeds from the IPO will be used to help in this expansion plan and to strengthen existing logistical networks.
