Wang Jianlin, China’s richest man, on Tuesday bought a painting by Picasso of his youngest children for US$28.2 million in a Christie’s auction in New York, Bloomberg reported. The 1950 painting, called “Claude et Paloma,” was estimated at US$9 million to US$12 million. Wang, who founded Dalian Wanda and who has a net worth of US$13.2 billion, bought the painting from the collection of Jan Krugier, a powerful Geneva art dealer who died in 2008.
