China’s solar technology exports increased 18% to US$7.42 billion in the first half from a year earlier though US and European manufacturers retained market share, Bloomberg reported, citing the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products. Solar cells and modules made up most of the exports, which totaled US$12.3 billion for the whole of 2013, said Sun Guangbin, secretary-general of the chamber. However, exports to the US are expected to decline in the remainder of 2014 because of anti-dumping duties imposed by the US ranging as high as 165% for some Chinese manufacturers.
