Chinese computer maker Lenovo was top dog with 18.5% of the action, according to researcher IDC.
Ryan Ma, director of IDC’s personal system business for the Asia-Pacific region, said the economic situation was continuing to affect most countries’ sales of commercial PCs, and that China "saved" the PC market in the Asia-Pacific region.
Ryan Ma said, the main driving force for the future PC market would continue to be in the consumer market for notebook PCs, netbooks and ultra-thin notebooks.
