Apple has now officially launched its iPad in China – a solid business move, analysts say, even though Chinese customers have been able to buy the tablet computer on the gray market for months. Apple stores in Beijing and Shanghai as well as authorized retailers around the country began offering the Wi-Fi model of the touchscreen device. At Apple’s flagship store in Beijing, customers began queuing up Tuesday to ensure they got their hands as early as possible on the popular gadget. The Calgary Herald suggested that this queuing over a matter of days is beginning to look more and more like a publicity stunt.
