The Alibaba group research center has published the 2010 Netrepreneur Development Research Report to coincide with the 7th global netrepreneur conference held recently in Hangzhou.
It states that as of the end of June, there were 77 million China netrepreneurs, of which 65 million were individuals and 12 million were enterprise netrepreneurs.
The report and the figures showed that distinct diversification is essential and this has been achieved by the main body of the entrepreneurs. In other words, this is not a "me too" market.
Individualized demand brings new opportunities. An example is Zhang Jing, known as the "pillow champion." Her online store’s page has more than 1,500 different specifications for pillows. Now her company sells millions of pillows every year, 80% of them online.
Chinese Economic Net reported the entrepreneur conference showed that customized goods and services are the way to expand sales online.
