The Greek Piraeus Port Authority has transferred the operation of Piraeus container terminals to China’s Cosco Pacific.According to the agreement, Pier 2 and Pier 3 of Piraeus Container Terminals will be under Cosco management for 35 years.
Li Keqiang, chief representative of COSCO in Greece, said the two sides would work together to build modern container terminals and provide reliable, flexible and high efficient services for shipping companies.
CargoNews Asia reports Piraeus is the biggest port in Greece and one of the most important ports in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
