COSCON now has real-time shipment tracking in China

You are sending goods from point A to point B in China. And you want to know exactly where they have got to and how long they are taking. In modern logisitics this is now becoming a given.
Thus COSCON Logistics will begin real-time GPS tracking and monitoring of shipments in China, using a global GPS-based sensor network provided by Savi Networks.
The is claimed to be  the first large-scale commercial GPS-based tracking system launched in China, although it has existed in test mode elsewhere.
Sensor devices attached to COSCON containers will provide real-time data through Savi Network’s GPS system.
The sensing capabilities provided by the GPS network give immediate alerts of cargo theft and damage. And, of course, if it is going to the wrong place by the wrong route. It happens.
Eye for Transport reports that  the location and security of the container and its cargo will be available through a web-based application. Our illustration shows a GPD system on a shipping container. Probably not COSCON but the idea is exactly the same.
