Costa Rica talks of embassy in China

The Costa Rican foreign ministery will be in talks with Beijing to set up their embassy in China, state media reported. Costa Rican President Oscar Arias said
diplomatic relations with China is a "realistic" foreign policy, after both countries announced last Thursday that they had decided to
establish diplomatic ties. Costa Rica broke official relations with Taiwan before establishing ties with China. "The Costa Rican government recognizes that there is only one China
and the government of the People's Republic of China is the sole
legitimate government representing the whole China. Taiwan is an
inalienable part of the Chinese territory," said a joint communique issued June 1, when diplomatic ties between the two countries commenced.
