The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Co-operation has set up two new offices to look after changes in foreign trade under the World Trade Organisation, China Daily said. The Department of WTO Affairs is charged with ensuring that China carries out its obligations under the WTO agreements.
The Fair Trade Bureau will ensure that Chinese companies enjoy fair trade, both abroad and at home. In particular it will assist Chinese companies to respond to foreign charges of dumping and subsidy. It will also work with the State Economic and Trade Commission to investigate cases of unfair competition from foreign companies that harm Chinese enterprises.
