Deer hangs out in hotel lobby

A deer wandered into a hotel lobby in northeast China and it was caught on tape. State run television showed video of the deer as it strolled through the hotel in Dailian.
The deer appeared to be at ease and even took a drink from a water display.
Animal control was called by the hotel’s staff, and authorities shot the animal with a tranquilizer and took it away.

The reason this is mentioned is because of personal experience. When the writer left the house to go on a recent morning run in England, there was a deer standing outside the garage.

A call to the police brought a reply of: "Not again."

And at 5:30am— the writer is an early bird—-a deer capture van was sent. Apparently they are not dangerous, except in October which is nearly over. The verderer, that is the person who looks after the deer, said they often went for a stroll up the high street and caused little harm unless they crashed into cars.

News Online quotes Chinese media reports, which said the animal in Dalian was taken to the zoo. Which is a bit harsh. They could have comped it for a breakfast at the hotel at the very least.
