China sent a third trade delegation to the US to purchase US$2 billion worth of information technology (IT) products.
The delegation, headed by senior officials, included representatives from China Telecom, the country's biggest telecom carrier; the top mobile firm, China Mobile; the second-largest mobile carrier, China Unicom and leading PC makers, Founder and Legend.
During the three-day trip the delegation signed contracts with Motorola, Intel and Cisco.
Earlier trade missions signed contracts in November and December to import US soybeans, electro-mechanical equipment and aircraft material to China.
The trips are intended to address the growing trade imbalance between the US and China.
