Ericsson scores China Mobile deal

Swedish telecoms giant Ericsson has been chosen to provide equipment for China Mobile's nationwide expansion program of its mobile Internet services. The phase two expansion is designed to increase backbone bandwidth, reliability and the range of mobile services across China's 31 provinces and autonomous regions, the company said in a statement. No financial figures were released on the deal, although completion of the expansion project is scheduled for October 2005.
