China's factory output grew by 12.8 per cent year-on-year in July, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. The growth rate over the first six months of the year was 11.8 per cent. The biggest increase was in electronics and telecoms equipment, followed by motor vehicles. Exports of electronics rose by 45 per cent but traditional export industries also saw solid gains, with textile exports rising 18 per cent.
