Faith in US ice cream melts

Some shocked Chinese consumers already are backing away from US Haagen-Dazs brand ice cream because of its illegal and unhygenic operations in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, state media reported. The big brand name franchise produced ice-cream cakes without a sanitation permit, in an ordinary apartment near a toilet, with a rubbish bin in its center. The company apologized and vowed to upgrade operations.
