China’s finance minister Lou Jiwei criticized =US “negative list” proposals for sectors that would be closed to Chinese investment under the Bilateral Investment Treating now being hashed out between Beijing and Washington, Reuters reported, citing state media. Lou, who is in the US to attend meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, said that the US negative list failed to provide specific definitions for restrictions on investment in infrastructure, technology and national security, according to Xinhua.
