Great Wall Motor, based in Baoding, Hebei province, is set to sell automobiles in the US, Europe and Africa. The company will make a sales push in the US with premium products in 2014 or 2015 and in the UK early next year, said Shi Qingke, deputy general manager of the firm’s international department, speaking at the 2010 China Enterprises Overseas Development Summit. The Hong Kong-listed firm plans to team up with the IM Group, the UK-based importer and distributor for Subaru, Isuzu and Daihatsu autos, to expand its reach in Europe. In Xushui, Hebei province, the auto maker has new assembly lines under construction, which should bring its combined annual output capacity to 2 million vehicles by 2015. China Knowledge reports that the company posted revenue of RMB9.12 billion for the first half of this year while net profit reached RMB867.1 million.
