Honda Motor, Japan's third-largest auto maker, announced Monday that it will begin sales in China of the Acura, a luxury sedan developed in the US, state media reported. It will be the first time the Acura has been sold outside the US. The first model to be sold in China will be a 3.5-liter RL sedan. Honda expects to sell 3,000 Acuras next year, increasing to 15,000 in three years. Honda was encouraged by strong sales of other luxury Japanese sedans in China.
