President Hu Jintao's London visit this week will take up issues of trade, global security, climate change, and co-operation at the United Nations, reported state media. Hu will press Britain to lift the EU arms sales ban to China while UK officials are expected to urge him to co-operate on climate change. Like the US and Australia, China rejects the Kyoto global warming accords. Bilateral trade reached US$19.7 billion in 2004, an increase of 37% year-on-year and growing 30% in the first half of 2005.
