Mainland smartphone firm Huawei has disclosed that smartphone shipments for the company rose 44% year-on-year to 108 million in 2015, Tech In Asia Reported, citing a statement from the company. While Apple sold well over 200 million iPhones this year, Huawei appears to have handily outsold domestic rival Xiaomi, which appears to have had such a disappointing 2015 that it stopped sharing sales numbers. Not content to shoot for domestic dominance, Huawei will make its Mate 8 flagship phone available in America for the first time, and hopes an increased focus on the US will help boost its sales there.
