Hydrostations to regulate water flow

Hydroelectric power stations being built on the Lancang River in Yunnan province will regulate the flow of water on the lower reaches of the river, known as the Mekong in southeast Asian countries, said Dr He Daming from Yunnan University’s Asia International River Centre. He said that by regulating the flow of water, the stations would make the river more navigable.
