International curriculum in Shanghai

[photopress:shanghainormal_1.jpg,full,alignright]Shanghai Normal University (SNU) has inaugurated a new college that offers full-time undergraduate instruction in finance, investment, insurance and economics.

Shanghai Normal University already has a comprehensive schedule of liberal arts, science, industry, business, arts and physical education.

The curriculum seems to divide itself into two parts. The first being about traditional Chinese learning and values — Chinese Language and Graphonomy as an example. The second about the modern world with, for example, a Chinese (International Exchange) Major.

The university, which was founded in 1954, has two campuses — Xuhui and Fenxian — and the present president is Professor Yang Deguang.

The new college is the result of a merger between the SNU European Culture and Business College, and the SNU-Utah Institute of Science and Technology College.
