Oji Paper of Japan is to buy a paper mill in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, from Procter & Gamble, Reuters reported. The mill has an annual production capacity of 15,600 tonnes, mainly of paper rolls and tissues. Oji said it would continue to manufacture P&G's Tempo brand of tissues and would also start production of its Nepia brand.
Hong Kong clothing retailer Giordano is planning to expand the number of its outlets in China in order to increase revenue when sales in its home territory are sluggish, Bloomberg reported. The company � which already has 532 outlets on the mainland, accounting for one-quarter of its total sales � intends to open 80-100 new outlets a year.
